Today was all about getting to St. Louis.  We've been here before so it's really just a launching off point for the beginning of  our National Park and state capitol spots.  We listened to songs, Lorelei discovered that she doesn't like the musical Hair.  She slept which left me with lots of time to think.  We really only visited rest areas in each state as a way to stretch our legs.  After about a 12 hour drive and a little over 600 miles, we arrived at our campground for the night, setup our tent, cooked dinner and then took a little side trip over to Route 66 on the old City of Rocks Bridge.  It was a pleasant evening, walking and talking.  Back in the campground, there are fireflies galore and we will sleep to the sound of the train nearby.
