We only pack enough clothes for one week when we travel and considering that we were heading into Acadia with no Internet, coin operated showers and no laundry facilities, that meant this morning was laundry day. Up at 6 am, we did laundry, updated pictures and the blog and took showers before leaving the campground to head to Adams National Historic park. This was the birthplace of both John and John Quincy Adams. We were the first people there and took the 9:15 tour with two other people. It was a good tour and once the kids were finished with their junior ranger badges, we stopped in to Walmart, made lunch in the camper and then went grocery shopping. All of that took longer than I expected, just like everything else in Boston and we ended up two hours behind schedule on our drive to Maine. We stopped in at Augusta to see the state Capitol. A much more modest building than Providence and Hartford. A dinner stop and a long drive through fog and drizzle into Bar Harbor and Acadia. It's very quiet in the campground and I am looking forward to lots of stars once the clouds clear.
