I got up at 6:30 this morning to have a little breakfast and get ready for the swim. The kids also got up and played on the beach while I swam. The water didn't seem quite as cold today as it was yesterday. I had a good swim. I didn't finish as fast as I wanted but I did place 3rd in my age  group and I am happy to have competed in my first national masters event. It was a good experience although I probably wouldn't choose to do one while on vacation again. 

We waited around for the medals and then headed out of Lake Placid for Saratoga National Historical Park. We were later arriving there than we had hoped and has less time in the park than we wanted but upstate New York is complete for parks. We drove until about 11 o'clock, making it to Pennsylvania where we stopped at a truck stop to sleep.
